Renae Beushausen - Chef / Owner / Cookier
I'm a graduate of culinary school and business school whose passion is baking and bringing joy to the lives of others. I am here to make your creative culinary confections (aka: great tasting works of art) more than just a dream. My goal is to move from a cottage baker to a store front, where I can employee those with physical or intellectual disabilities.
As a single mom, I have been blessed to adopt three beautifully amazing young ladies (ages 15, 17, & 22) and also now have a granddaughter and grandson who have both stolen my heart. We are a foster family and have "bonus" kiddos (usually teens) who come to live in our home from time to time. Our mission is to love each one while we get to be with them.
I have always loved baking & cooking. It started when I was child in elementary school and grew from there.
Community service is important to me and I try to find ways to give back. I have served as Chair and Co-Chair for the Cattle Baron's Ball of SW Missouri (for the American Cancer Society) and have volunteered at a local women's homeless shelter.
Currently, I have partnered with my church family and we create and serve a meal once a month at the local Ronald McDonald House for the families who have children in the hospital. I am also the secretary for the Southwest Regional Board for foster care.
